The organizers from the Barum Zlín Auto Club in the Czech Auto Club have published the basic rally document in the form of supplementary regulations for the 54th BARUM CZECH RALLY ZLÍN 2025. It will traditionally be held in mid-August (August 15-17) as part of the FIA European Rally Championship (ERC) series and the domestic championship called the Autoclub Czech Rally Championship 2025 (MCR). This year's Barum Rally will offer a challenging amount of 207 km of special stages, with the famous Bunč special stage to be held again. After almost thirty years, the passage through Mikulůvka returns on the Kateřinice stage with the finish in the village of Pržno. Compared to last year, 65% of the special stages route has been changed.

After the approval of the supplementary regulations by the FIA, the rally schedule and the route in the form of the composition of the special stages were also published. The crews will start to gather in the regional capital of Zlín at the beginning of the rally week. On Wednesday, August 13, itineraries, GPS units for reconnaissance will be handed out, and an optional administrative check will also take place. In the evening, the popular autograph session of the top crews will take place in the Zlaté Jablko shopping center. At noon, reconnaissance on the special stages will begin, which will last until Thursday, August 14. The start of the competition is preceded by an administrative check at the headquarters located at the Regional Office – Building 21 in Zlín, and then a technical check will be held in the afternoon in Otrokovice near the service zone at the Continental Barum s.r.o.

On Friday, August 15, in the morning, a qualification stage for registered ERC1 drivers will take place, followed by a shakedown (test stage) on the Komárov – Pohořelice section, 7.61 km long. "This year, the shakedown is extended by over six kilometres in accordance with the regulations of the FIA International Automobile Federation for European Championship competitions. We are returning to the classic Komárov section with the traditional spectator spot on the village square in Pohořelice. The start is located at the end of Topolná and the finish is behind the village square in Pohořelice. The reason for the new FIA regulation regarding the length of the qualification is so that drivers have a chance to correct any mistakes and are not disadvantaged when determining the starting order by this special stage," said Miloslav Regner, chairman of the Barum Czech Rally Zlín organizing committee.

The ceremonial start will take place at 4 p.m. on the square in front of the Zlín Town Hall, the rally itself will start with an evening super special stage in the streets of Zlín. The entire rally consists of 754.15 km and includes 13 special stages on 7 sections with a total length of 207.49 km. The longest stage on the itinerary of this year's Barum Rally will be the special stage called Podhoran on sunday, which measures 20.61 km! "Since last year, we have made the rally more compact in the sense that there will be no large crossings from special stages. The competition itself will be shorter in total mileage by about 120 km in terms of crossings, as we will no longer have to make the long crossing from Vsetín to Bunč. Before every third special stage, regrouping checks will take place on Saturday and Sunday," said Ing. Jan Regner, rally director.

The Zlín Rally will traditionally start on Friday evening with a circuit super special stage (length 9.57 km) in the streets of the regional capital, which will be run in the same format as last year. The first car will appear on the track at 9:15 p.m., after which the crews will hand over the competition cars to the closed parking lot under the Obchodní dům Zlín shopping centre. The first proper day of rallying starts under the Velké Kino in Zlín on Saturday, August 16 at 7:30 a.m. After a fifteen-minute morning service, the starting field will run three special stages in the order Březová (length 12.73 km), Halenkovice (17.67 km) and Bunč (18.11 km), all of them to be run twice and will be separated by a half-hour afternoon service. "The Slušovice stage remains in the same format as in previous years. On the Halenkovice stage, we are returning to the track from two years ago, passing through Bělov and then back to the village of Žlutava. Thanks to the helpfulness of the municipal council of the village of Halenkovice, we have also included one new section when passing through the village. The Bunč stage is being run in the opposite direction this year, which will make it even more challenging for the crews. The change in direction makes it a brand new special stage. A big thanks goes to the Forests of the Czech Republic and the Archbishop's Forests, especially to Mons. Josef Nuzík, Archbishop of Olomouc and Metropolitan of Moravia," said Jan Regner. Saturday will be closed by a 45-minute evening service, and then the competition cars will spend the night in a closed parking lot in Zlín.

The Sunday section will start under the Velké Kino at 6:30 a.m. The crews will head to the morning service in Otrokovice, and then the competition itinerary will include special stages called Pindula (length 17.22 km), Podhoran (20.61 km) and Kateřinice, which will be also run as a Power Stage (12.62 km). "The composition of sunday's stages will also be very demanding. At the beginning, the famous Pindula is run, this year in the opposite direction. Then comes the longest stage in the itinerary, called Podhoran, in a modified form, which starts in Kašava and has a new part which was never run at the Barum Rally before. At the end, we have prepared the Kateřinice stage, this year in an extended form. After almost thirty years, we will run through Mikulůvka to the village of Pržno, where the Power Stage will finish in front of the local church with the winning ceremony organized by the ERC promoter. Thanks for returning to the legendary route go to Baťa Forests and the mayor of the village of Pržno, Radek Machýček," explained Jan Regner. The sunday's loop of six stages will be separated by a thirty-minute midday service. The first car will appear at the finish line in front of the Zlín Town Hall at 5:30 p.m., and the ceremony and awarding of prizes will also take place there.
