Flash info after Leg 1

29. 8. 2015 - Petr Dujka, Jakub Kudláč

Saturday's Leg 1 is over and the drivers now have few hours to gather strength before another set of challenging Special Stages that await on Sunday. Before they went to bed they shared with us their emotions and opinions about the last two Special Stages Kudlovice and Maják.

Jan Kopecký (CZE, Škoda Fabia R5), starting no. 1
"Everything is great in our team. We did well today and we are in the lead."

Alexey Lukyanuk (BLR, Ford Fiesta R5), starting no. 5
"I am very satisfied with today's performance. I am glad that we can keep up with the best drivers but now we need some rest because it was an enormously exhausting day."

Václav Pech (CZE, Mini John Cooper Works S2000), starting no. 4
"No problem. We like it here."

Kajetan Kajetanowicz (POL, Ford Fiesta R5), starting no. 3
"We did it. We are on the podium. Once we lost only 0.2 seconds to Kopecký. I think he took a nap. I am happy with today's performance. We had a good time and tomorrow I will do my best."

Craig Breen (IRL, Peugeot 208 T16), starting no. 2
"It was a terrible day. We had 3 punctures! Unbelievable. I will try to do better tomorrow and to climb up as many places as possible but it will be difficult."

Pavel Valoušek (CZE, Škoda Fabia S2000), starting no. 10
"Luckily, we did not make any mistakes during this difficult day. Czech Championship is our priority and we need to get some points. The last SS were a bit more careful because we were saving the tyres for tomorrow."

Hermen Kobus (NLD, Škoda Fabia R5), starting no. 18
"I did not expect to be in the top ten. But we have found good pace and for the first time with this car I feel like we are actually fast. We are satisfied so far."

Antonín Tlusťák (CZE, Škoda Fabia S2000), starting no. 15
"Tenth place is absolutely amazing. SS Troják will be very dangerous so tomorrow is going to be a very long day. I was a bit nervous during the last today's stage because it was dark and I did not want to make any stupid mistakes. And we increased our lead on Jelínek, perfect."

Charles Martin (FRA, Peugeot 208 T16), starting no. 14
"Considering our problems at the beginning we are doing great. I feel more confident and I intend to move two positions up. "

Miroslav Jakeš (CZE, Citroën DS3 R5), starting no. 20
"We are still holding the sixth position but we could have moved up if it were not for SS Pindula. The last two stages were mistake-free. Tomorrow it is going to be a different story."

Jan Jelínek (CZE, Škoda Fabia S2000), starting no. 22
"We do not have to deal with technical problems or major mistakes. We ruined a lot of tyres but that does not matter because we finished Leg 1."

Jan Černý (CZE, Škoda Fabia S2000), starting no. 17
"SS Maják was OK but we could have done better on SS Kudlovice. Otherwise everything is fine."

Sepp Wiegand (DEU, Škoda Fabia S2000), starting no. 11
"I am struggling on Barum Rally and I know I will not make it to the podium. Somehow we are unable to setup the car, the tyres. But I am not giving up."

Ondřej Bisaha (CZE, Citroën DS3 R3T Max), starting no. 41
"I did not have a good night's sleep so I was losing concentration on the road and that led to a mistake. I damaged suspension on the rear wheel and we lost some time. But our serviceman are like a bunch of supermen and they fixed everything.

Emil Bergkvist (SWE, Opel Adam R2), starting no. 27
"I feel really happy considering it is our first year here plus we are now in the lead of ERC Junior. My co-driver did a great job."
