Flash info after the Qualifying stage

28. 8. 2015 - Michael Tupý

After the Qualifying stage we did a short interview with the top in service zone in Otrokovice.

Jan Kopecký (CZE, Škoda Fabia R5), st. no. 1
"We had a good drive without any problems. We set our car a bit differently than at Bohemia Rally and I think we tuned it up very well. I am definitely very happy with the results."

Václav Pech (CZE, Mini John Cooper Works S2000), st. no. 2
"Everything is going according to our plans. I have a feeling that the car is set well. Only the rally will show to what extent we can fight with vehicles category R5."

Roman Odložilík (CZE, Ford Fiesta R5), st. no. 12
"Setting of the car is OK. Everything works. We had some issues at the start of the Qualifying stage when I forget to turn on ALS and consequently we lost couple seconds. Moreover, there are lot of scattered stones on the roads so the last passage was not very good."

Craig Breen (FRA, Peugeot 208 T16), st. no. 2
"We have a very good feeling about our car. Shakedown was not very friendly to us and our time should show it. Sadly, the track is a bit shattered but everyone has to deal with it. We believe we can keep up with Jan and other drivers till the end of Barum Rally."

Alexey Lukyanuk (BLR, Ford Fiesta R5), st. no. 5
"I am very happy with our car and our times as well. We like Barum Rally very much and we hope to scrape a good result out here."

Kajetan Kajetanovicz (POL, Ford Fiesta R5), st. no. 3
"It went very well for us. We feel good about the car. We are very much looking forward to the real rally and we are enjoying this unique atmosphere."

Jan Černý (CZE, Škoda Fabia S2000), st. no. 17
"We did some tiny mistakes and that cost us a few seconds. Otherwise, the car works perfectly, we have good setting."

Miroslav Jakeš (CZE, Citroën DS3 R5) st. no. 20
"In morning due to problems with the car we missed the first two runs so we went to the qualifying stage without any test drive. First drive for real. Setting is good, there were a lot of scattered stones on the road so we could not do turns at full blast."

Martin Hudec (CZE, Škoda Fabia S2000), st. no. 46
"We did not do any racing for six months and that is very much clear. But I think we still did a good job and our times correspond to the times of teams with the same car. We are very happy about it and we hope we will keep the same pace till the finish line."
