Starting order at the Barum Czech Rally Zlín

14. 7. 2015 - Petr Linhart

Changes to the ERC regulations as well as in the Czech national championship, which since 2015 abandoned the compliance with the FIA regulations, will cause a little bit of mismatch in the starting order. Due to various classifications and categories the crews will run in different order compared to what they were used to in previous years. Let's take a look how it will be with the starting order at the Barum Czech Rally Zlín!

Qualification
The qualification stage is obligatory for all competitors who have registered into the FIA European rally championship and have the ERC or FIA priority. Apart from drivers of ERC1, ERC2 and ERC3 group it applies also to the Junior ERC drivers.

Shakedown
Shakedown can be performed by all competitors entered within the international Barum Czech Rally Zlín classification except the ERC registered drivers. There can run also participants of the Czech national classification.

Ceremonial start
Crews will pass the ceremonial start according to their start numbers – first there will appear the ERC registered crews, then international crews without ERC registration and finally crews of the Czech national championship.

City super special stage
The traditional super special stage in Zlín will run in reversed order – first there will go Czech national championship participants, after that the international field with non-registered crews and then the ERC registered crews as the highlight.

Leg 1
In the Leg 1 the starting field will be opened by Top 15 crews of the Qualification. They will run according the order selected on Friday afternoon during the opening ceremony. Then there will follow remaining ERC1 or FIA priority drivers in order following the qualification results, ERC2 drivers according to the qualification, ERC3 including juniors according to the qualification and other international participants without ERC registration. At the end there will run the Czech national field - according to their starting numbers.

Leg 2
The second leg will be opened by ten fastest priority crews of the first day running in reversed order. Then there will follow the common group of all ERC or FIA priority drivers in order related to the Leg 1 results, behind them will run remaining competitors entered in the international field. The whole starting field will be again closed by Czech national participants who will run according to the Leg 1 results.

All Czech licence holders who enter the Barum Czech Rally Zlín within the international field will be automatically counted in the Czech national championship. Vice versa, those who enter only the Czech national championship will not be included in the overall Barum Czech Rally Zlín classification and will be ranked only in the Czech national championship.
