For many years Barum Czech Rally Zlín has belonged to the largest motorsport events in the Czech Republic as well as to the most important events in the FIA ERC calendar. Jaromír Tarabus and Daniel Trunkát are the top Czech rally crew cruising around the FIA ERC competitions. So, joining forces of these subjects is a logical step!

Popularity of Barum Czech Rally Zlín is every year proven by attendance of thousands of spectators and with strong field of top rally crews. However, the organizing team still tries to find new ways of promotion to enlarge the popularity and spectators' interest. Therefore there has been set up a post of an official rally ambassador. Its main aim is to actively promote abroad the Barum Czech Rally Zlín as well as the whole Czech Republic and Zlín region. For 2015, the rally driver Jaromír Tarabus and his co-driver Daniel Trunkát have been appointed to this new role.

"Rallies in foreign countries are visited by many spectators and we hope that with help of our rally ambassadors we can interest these people to visit also the Czech Republic. I'm happy that Jaromír and Daniel accepted our offer to represent the Barum Czech Rally Zlín during their ERC campaign. They belong to the fastest Czech rally crews and I believe they will do their best on the European routes. In once I wish them to succeed at the Barum Czech Rally Zlín at the end of August and to prolong their good results series in this event," says Miloslav Regner, the Clerk of the Barum Czech Rally Zlín.

Jaromír Tarabus with Daniel Trunkát spent already several seasons in the international rally scene, driving various types of Super 2000 cars. Currently it's a black-white liveried Škoda Fabia S2000 which is helping them in the ERC point scoring hunt.

For Jaromír the Barum Czech Rally Zlín is a pure home event and he accepted the support offer without any doubts: "It's an honour to get this important role. I'm coming from Zlín and the Barum rally is really a heartbreaker for me. In our country this competition is the most famous one and it's also one of the FIA ERC pillars. I'm really pleased with the offer to be a face of the rally, which was given to me by Mr. Miloslav Regner," says Jaromír Tarabus. And his co-driver Daniel Trunkát adds: "Being an ambassador of this key motorsport event is fulfilling me with pride. I take it as an appreciation of our existing achievements and in once it's a great motivation to the future."

The new relationship of the Barum Czech Rally Zlín with competition crew Tarabus – Trunkát can be interesting also for rally fans and merchandising collectors. There has been issued an exclusive "rally ambassador" poster which is already prepared in the permanent rally secretariat in Hornomlýnská 3715, Zlín or will be available in the T&T rally team tent during particular FIA ERC events.
