Abbring on Peugeot was the fastest one in the night

The winner of the Super Special Stage in the streets of the city of Zlín was the Dutch-British crew Kevin Abbring, Sebastian Marshall on a factory drive Peugeot 208 T16 from the team Peugeot Rally Academy.

The second one were the leaders of the European Championship Esapekka Lappi, Janne Ferm from Finland on a factory drive Škoda Fabia S2000. They lost 2, 8 seconds. Irish-British crew Craig Breen, Scott Martin on Peugeot 208 T16 came third losing 4, 6 seconds. The best Czech driver was Tomáš Kostka and behind him was the Czech defending champion, who lost only one tenth.

About thirty thousand people watch the Super Special Stage of the 44th Barum Czech Rally Zlín. The fastest time 7:10, 6 on the 9, 51 km long circuit stage achieved the 25-year-old Dutchman Abbring on Peugeot. The Finn Lappi managed to get between the two factory drivers of the Peugeot Rally Academy. Kostka, Pech, Roman Kresta and Jaromír Tarabus were the only Czechs to reach the top ten. Kajetan Kajetanowicz (13th place) from Poland and Ott Tänak (15th place) from Estonia finished in the top twenty. They were both driving Ford Fiesta R5.

The fastest driver in the two-wheel-drive category is Egon Smékal from the Czech Republic (Citroën DS3 R3T), the second one is Adam Kobliha (Renault Clio R3) and the third one is a French driver Stéphane Lefebvre (Peugeot 208 R2), who is leading the European Junior Championship. The production car category is lead by Martin Březík (Mitsubishi Lancer EVO IX).
