Zlín

A city with characteristic functionalist architecture -  skyscraper, the Big Cinema or typical colonies of houses. Historical monuments include the church of St. Filipa and Jakub and the castle. Modern architecture is represented by Cultural and University

Thomas Bata monument in Zlín

At first glance, it is an empty space dominated by a faithful model of the Junkers F13 – the plane in which the life journey of shoemaker Bata and pilot Brouček ended in 1932. And yet there is more than one stop worth of content hidden here. Come and listen. Guided tours of the functionalist building by architect F. L. Gahura always start on the hour from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. (inclusive), from Tuesday to Sunday.

 Malenovice Castle

One of the few surviving monuments of medieval architecture in the Zlín region. The building is currently undergoing structural reconstruction and its interiors are not accessible to the public, but it is possible to visit the adjacent castle garden with the exhibitions "Wood, Wicker, Straw" and "Painted on Wood".

ZOO Zlín-Lešná

The Zoological Garden in Zlín-Lešná will delight both children and adults with its division according to continents. Here you will find extensive natural exhibits with the common breeding of several species of animals, the tropical Yucatan hall, walk-through exhibits and aviaries, the romantic castle Lešná and the beautiful park. A new feature is the unique "Stray Bay" pavilion. You can pet or even feed these exotic fish.

City of Napajedla

 Napajedla is connected to Otrokovice and Uherský Hradiště by a cycle path, which is part of the backbone long-distance route from Kroměříž to Hodonín along the embankments of the Morava River and the Baťova Canal. The most important monuments in the city include the Neo-Renaissance building of the town hall, the church of St. Bartholomew and a castle built in the French Baroque style, which is surrounded by a park with rare trees and a pond. In the castle, it is possible to tour the historical halls. Municipal museum with an exhibition of plastic toys. Pahrbek recreation area - accommodation, catering, natural swimming pool, rental of boats, pedal boats, bicycles, minigolf.

Lukov

 

The original castle was probably built in the 13th century. At one time it also belonged to King Charles IV. The castle hosts various cultural events and fencing days, night tours with ghosts. An exhibition focusing on the history of the Wallachian uprisings during the Thirty Years' War.

Troják 

An interesting lookout tower on the Maruška hill (1.8 km from Troják in the direction of Bludný) with a view of the Vizovické hills, the Radhoště massif and the valley with the villages of Hošťálková and Ratiboř. At Troják, refreshments, accommodation and relaxation are available.

 

 

 

Vsetín - Semetín 

There is a swimming pool and the newly built Bike Arena Vsetín, which offers up to 30 kilometers of single trails set in the Wallachian countryside and supplemented with artificial obstacles. The individual downhill tracks are divided according to their level of difficulty, so experienced bikers and families with children will enjoy themselves.

 

 

 

Kostelany

Several barrow cemeteries and the historic reconciliation cross under the top of Kamenák make this village a popular tourist destination. Spáčil's educational trail, which starts here and bears the name of the historian and writer Jindřich Spáčil, will take you through Nova Dědina to Bunč. Here you will learn about the history of oil extraction near Kostelan, you will see a burial mound from the 9th century, the sandstone rocks of Budačina and Komínka - a popular destination for climbers.

On the outskirts of Kostelan, visit a ranch with a wild west atmosphere. At the ranch, you will experience many adventures with the children and learn a lot about the life of Indians and cowboys.

Kudlovice 

In the northernmost vineyards in Moravia in the Paňháj near Kudlovice, wine was grown on 31 ha as early as 1657. In the only named street in the village, Hubáčková street, which symbolizes God's torment with the patron saint of winemakers, Saint Urban, you will find 17 wine cellars.

Bunč and Brdo lookout tower

The paths of pilgrims in Chřibe already crossed in the distant past on Bunča. Today, Bunč is a crossroads of tourist routes and cycle paths branching off in all directions. A restaurant with a fireplace, a bar and a children's corner await you in the renovated guesthouse. In the courtyard you can use a stone building with a bar made of a wooden barrel. Use the relaxation center with sauna, whirlpool and steam sauna to regenerate body and soul.

Nearby, on the highest mountain of Chřibů, there is the Brdo lookout tower - the highest stone lookout tower in Moravia, 24 m high. From the lookout tower you will have a beautiful view of the Beskydy, Roháč, Mala Fatra and Jeseníky mountains. The lookout tower is easily accessible from the Bunč recreation center

Nature park Želechovické Paseky and Pasekářská trail

The six-kilometer circuit of the educational Pasekařské trail runs through the natural park's harmonious landscape. It is located southeast of Zlín in the cadastral territory of the municipalities of Želechovice nad Dřevnicí, Jaroslavice and Kudlov. It is focused on fauna and flora, horticulture and medicinal plants. Protected springs of mineral water belong to important places in the glades. Among the rare plants you can see in the park, for example, primrose, poison ivy, or golden-headed lily.

 

 

Vizovice – Distillery Land and Vizovice Castle, national cultural monument

 

Vizovice is nicknamed the capital of slivovice, and the tradition of brandy production here dates back to the end of the 16th century. In local production, you will find not only slivovica, but also a number of other alcoholic beverages. You can get acquainted with the history of production and traditional procedures in the local Distillery Land, which offers the possibility of tours, tasting and purchase of products. A number of events and festivals also take place in the area, a visit connected with a tasting must be ordered in advance.

Vizovice Castle was built in the middle of the 18th century by Heřman Hannibal from Blümengen, who entrusted the construction to the architect F.A. Grimm. He designed the castle in the modern French Baroque style. The castle is surrounded by a French and English park, and in its time the area was one of the most luxurious examples of a noble residence. The interiors are furnished with Baroque, Rococo, Empire and Biedermeier style furniture with lots of porcelain. The collection of paintings with a rare set of works by Dutch masters is unique. You will see beautiful interiors, representative spaces, rooms intended for family members, guests, servants and the castle chapel.
