Ejoin Green Rally gets more attractive

One of the most topical issues in motorsport nowadays is the prospect of using other engine designs to replace the combustion engine. Barum Czech Rally Zlín is keeping up with such trends, so the organizers from Autoclub Barum Zlín (AČR) decided to schedule an exciting competition of these hybrid engines. This year the race bears the name after its general partner - Ejoin company. The third edition of Ejoin Green Rally (17th - 18th August 2019) should follow the previous successful years.

Ejoin Green Rally resembles in many aspects the ongoing FIA Alternative Energies Cup. This rally is mostly about regularity and enjoyment. Electric cars for daily use and hybrid vehicles combining combustion and electric engine are allowed. "The crews of Green Rally will take on some of the classic rally stages of Barum Rally like a circuit section on SS Březová and SS Maják. This event's itinerary follows its previous edition and contains special tasks. For example, a test of driving skills at Bilá Hlína airport, and there is also a cultural happening in the form of visiting KOVOZOO in Staré Město," said Ing. Jan Regner, a director of Green Rally.

The III. Ejoin Green Rally begins on Saturday 17th August at 2 pm on a ramp in Zlín, square náměstí Míru in front of the Town Hall. The finish is scheduled for the same place at 4 pm right before the finish of Barum Czech Rally Zlín. The crews of Ejoin Green Rally on Saturday will head to Slušovice for a semi-circle drive on SS Březová and then go to an agricultural airport Bílá Hlína for a driving skills test. After regrouping, the crews will watch the second run of Barum Rally crews on SS Slušovice from a VIP lounge and see the public exhibition of electric cars. On Sunday, 18th August, special tasks await the crews in a car park near the Shopping house in Zlín, then at an airport in Halenkovice and on a legendary stage Maják around Malenovice castle. On Sunday morning, the starting field will move to Staré Město u Uherského Hradiště, to visit KOVOZOO. A unique zoo made of metal in the middle from a renovated sugar refinery. "The participants would see a remarkable zoo in KOVOZOO, do go-karting, and of course there will be a joint lunch and a photocall. In the afternoon there will be some tests left for them, and the last thing would be a ramp in front of the Zlín Town Hall," said director Regner.

The crew Lukáš Hatas and Tereza Němcová driving Tesla X won the first-ever Green Ral-ly. Last year, Zdeněk Trčala and David Rumpík on a brand new Jaguar I-Pace dominated from the very beginning the Green Rally and won. In the category of hybrid vehicles, the first place reached Michal Sýkora and Martin Hrubý on Hyundai Ioniq.

The general partner of this year is a Slovakian company ejoin s.r.o. (www.ejoin.sk), which is an ambitious company in the field of electric vehicles. The company focuses on the construction and management of charging stations for electric vehicles in Europe.
