The Barum Czech Rally Zlín will be preceded by shakedown on Friday, August 26 at section Napajedla – Halenkovice – Žlutava in the morning.
The competing crews have the last chance to try their rally cars on an enclosed route of a special stage a few hours before the start. The organizers prepared a tarmac section between Napajedla and Žlutava. It is 4.3 km long and will be held from 8 till 13. The route partially uses a section that was part of the Barum Rally in the nineties, it was used last year during the Expo Czech Rally exhibition as well. The shakedown will start at the exit from Napajedla near the industry area. The route then ascends through attractive hairpins to Halenkovice. This section contains recommended spectators places which are accessible via local roads from Spytihněv or from Halenkovice. Right before the peak and beginning of the town, the route turns sharp right onto narrow local road. The following part is faster and the finish is located before a difficult right turning near a quarry before Žlutava.

“The security features on the route of the shakedown will be the same as at special stages during the rally. We would like to ask the spectators to follow the rules of safe watching of the rally. The regulations will be detailed in the official program of the rally,” said Jan Regner, deputy clerk of the course of the Barum Czech Rally Zlín and main security officer. The service park will be located in the test area of the Barum Continental in Otrokovice.
The entry to shakedown will be charged by 70 CZK or the event pass badge. Only the competitors who passed the scrutineering and administrative check can participate in the shakedown. The cars must use the starting numbers and prescribed advertisements.
